Rise and shine wonderful reggae family ! Today we'll enjoy together something very special: the interview we did with Emeterian during the OverJam Reggae Festival ! 

 


 Let me tell you that I have hardly ever met such sweet, joyful souls; it was a real pleasure to talk with them. And their music ! A balm for mind, heart and soul and pure energy to dance away.

 

 Q- The energy on stage was crazy, the vibes were incredible and powerful tonight ...

 
E-( Brother MagaLion -BML- ) It's always a two way thing, we basically get the enrgy which comes from the public. Normally when we start we are really smooth and calm almost shy, but then the show starts and it is the people which makes us feel that power ... ( Sister Mary Jane -SMJ- ) At the beginning we use to sing with our eyes closed, not looking at the people at all. But then we start connecting with the public and we let that feeling grow, the connection grows with the show.


Q- Since it is the first time we meet, would you like to say something about yourself to our listeners and followers ?

 
E- (BML)Reggae Nord and everyone in Finland, this is the Emeterians, from Spain. We're family, she is my sister Mary Jane and he is my Brother in Law, Brother WildMan and it is a family thing so we definetly we hope to give good and positive energy to everybody and we definetly encourage you to listed to our music, to the words we say, 'cause it is all about family, union, hope ... and still we talk about serious stuff, so I hope that we can connect with more and more people from Finland !


Q- Was this your first time here in OverJam ?

 
E- ( SMJ) First time and we totally fell in love. The moment we came in from Italy, froma small village called Porcia, the moment we crossed the border we saw the image of the mountains and the green  ... wow ... and we went through the road by the river , such an amazing river, the colour so pure and clean, so we really fell in love the moment we saw the country. The moment we got into the festival we felt really welcomed by the people, by the workers here, by everyone so it felt really familiar, we felt the vibes and we will be definetly coming back ! (BML ) We felt it was such a magical place, we knew we were gonna be happy here and that everything was going to be ok and that we would have a wicked show which we would enjoy, because we were already enjoying the surroundings. We connected with the place and we connected with the people, beautiful ... (SMJ) It was magical to collaborate with Mellow Mood, it's thanks to them that we are here, but we are really looking forward to come back with our band and make a full show as this was just an appetizer ( Everybody is laughing now )


Q- Tell us more about the collaboartion with Mellow Mood and tonight's show

 
(BML) Oh they really did a great job. You know we had no rehersal tonight, We went straight on stage ! (SMJ) the live set was our first rhersal together ! (BML) We only had a short soundchack together so only the time to sing one  song together . But then the show was very positive ! (SMJ) the connection was amazing, you know we know them from another time, another life, there is some kind of mediterranean connection. 


Q- Maybe we will see you in Finland sometime ...

 
(BML) Hopefully ! That would really be a dream come true, it is another paradise over there ...

We're happy to introduce you a new artist whose music will be in our daily rotation: Osezua Reggae ! Osezua is a composer, producer and performer from Manchester, Jamaica. His music can be described as a conscious contemporary roots reggae. In our playlist you will find two of his songs: Fraud and The Reckoning.
