OverJam Diary : THE FINAL DAY (throwback to festival days)

The last day of festival it is always hard, emotionally, mentally and practically. We also had to face some extra challenges beyond our control, but as it happens everytime, all was faced with a positive and proactive spirit of collaboration, in friendship, in love, in unity, demonstrating that 'One love, One life, One aim ' ae not only nice but empty words, but something we lived by.

Puoring rain was already falling early in the morning when we gathered on the beach stage to set up the radio broadcasting for the day. So we quickly menaged to move the stage indoor, of course easy to say but hard to do. None the less, in a short time everything was set in the Tropikana\Jamming stage and we were ready to broadcast as usual.

Later on, unfortunately, Collie Buddz had to cancel first the University Panel and then the concert itself due to a sudden sickness. Again the organization was excellent, and the day, but mostly the night, were filled anyway with music, with love and with amazing amount of pure energy and fun.

The closing of the festival, all together on the Maver stage, singing One Love, was one of the most emotional moment I lived in a festival. A few tears were shed I have to admit.

So once again, the Reggae Nord crew want give thanks and express our deepest gratitude to the OverJam festival organization and Run It agency for giving us the chance to join this incredible team and contribute to the festival, creating an incredible experience.

See you next year in Tolmin.

After a stormy night the Radio Stage appears very tried.
